24 Top Leaders Give Advice On Juggling Career and Family

You already know CircleMakers™ for our business strategy consulting and coaching services.  What you might not know is how passionate we are in sharing the message that personal growth always precedes business growth.

It was the late Stephen Covey who said, “the key is not to prioritize what’s on your schedule, but to schedule your priorities.”

As nearly every ambitious executive can attest, the climb to the top can often take a monumental toll on one’s personal life.  The constant demands.  The overwhelming responsibility.  The long hours.  The chronic stress.

Unfortunately, these constant pressures often cause business executives and leaders to believe the climb to the top is an all or nothing game.  You win at one at the expense of the other.  Does succeeding in one’s career inevitably mean sacrificing at the expense of family?  Does giving your all to your family mean your career must suffer?  Or can we have it all?

In late 2014, we conducted a survey including hundreds of executives and learned that achieving balance in your personal and professional lives is your top challenge – by a wide margin.

So, what does ‘balance’ really look like?  And how do great leaders actually grow their careers while also growing their children and marriages?   We wanted to find out.

We’ve interviewed 24 leaders from top brands and institutions across the globe – our work aptly named:  Project 24.  Included in this selective group are CEO’s, senior executives, business owners, educators, inventors and doctors.  We asked these executives and community leaders how they navigate career and family responsibilities.  We asked them to identify what’s most important in raising the next generation of leaders.

Each week, we’ll be spotlighting a different leader from the community.

Monday, August 24th will mark the launch of our first interview.

In order to deliver you each interview in a downloadable format (that you can print, save or read off-line), it will only be accessible on our site.  Since you’re already subscribed, you’ll find interview #1 in your inbox on Monday morning.

My desire is that the personal growth message is not only something you can get behind, but is also an idea that you will help me spread.

Would you share this correspondence with family, friends and colleagues who you think would would find value in Project 24?  We need to get as many people registered as possible in the next 7 days so they can get access to all 24 interviews.

By the time this series culminates, you will have been exposed to new ideas, lessons, tips and techniques that will offer you a “greatest hits collection” of advice for your own personal growth journey.

I can’t wait to learn with you.
