How This Home Depot Leader Juggles Competing Priorities
Ryan Coble is not joking when he says his ’hands are full.’ Married to wife Laura and father of four children, including a set of rambunctious twins, the Cobles have learned that ‘survival’ depends on working together to juggle competing demands of careers, calendars, and commitments.
Ryan shares, “One of the most effective ways I deal with the competing priorities in my life is to stop and ask myself, ‘What is the most important thing I can be doing right now?'”
Upon learning that his brother-in-law was diagnosed with a brain tumor, that one question ended up leading Ryan and family to relocate from Atlanta, GA to Dallas, TX to be closer to family.
Now, that’s priority.
As we continue on our journey to 24, our 11th executive interview features Home Depot Information Technology Leader, Ryan Coble. Read more about Ryan’s focus on managing competing priorities, the one difference maker in his marriage, as well as a closing message on ‘blessings’ that could not be better timed as we get close to the Thanksgiving Holiday.
